Last week millions of men, women and children celebrated the federal holiday Fourth of July here in the United States of America. If you aren’t from America, you may not know about this holiday, which celebrates the declaration of independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776. Enough of the historical stuff, let’s get to the good part.
What does “Freedom, True Freedom” really mean?
Ask yourself, “What does freedom mean to me?” and just notice.
When asked this question, some say “Freedom is to be American” and/or “Freedom of Speech.” Others simply point to the American Flag. These responses are clearly skewed towards American responses, however, stick with me.
The question I asked myself was, “Jen, what does freedom mean to me?” To me, freedom is knowing and accepting who I am as God. From what I assume, believe, and accept as true, I am who I am. I’m free when I realize I’m the one who creates each moment.
It’s as simple as knowing and accepting who you are as God from the beliefs you assume and accept as true, that is who you are as “I am.”
The freedom in life is when you accept that everything you experience is because of what you assumed to be true.
A person’s freedom has nothing to do with where they come from, where they live, what family they were born into, what church they belong to, how much education they’ve obtained, etc, all of which are secondary causes.
There is only one cause.
That one cause is I am. I am, has free will built right in. We are free to assume what we truly desire. We are not in control of how our desire will be satisfied.
Take note of whether you are attempting to determine how your desire will be fulfilled. By doing so, you are not trusting who you are as God, and you are playing with doubt rather than with a desire that has been fulfilled easily and lovingly.
The invitation I extend to you today is to trust yourself as God differently and deeper than you ever have before.
Freedom is accepting, I am Consciousness.
Freedom is accepting, I am Imagination.
Freedom is accepting, I am Awareness.
Freedom is accepting, I AM God.
Let’s assume differently than just a moment ago.
